What's the difference between regular and Bi-Carb Free Natural Deodorant?

Our regular natural deodorant contains bi-carb soda (baking soda), while our Sensitive Formula is made without bi-carb and uses Magnesium Hydroxide instead.

Bi-carb works well for many people, but some people find it irritating, particularly on sensitive underarm skin. Our Bi-Carb Free range was created as a gentler alternative.

If you've previously experienced irritation from deodorants containing bi-carb, the Sensitive Formula may be a better place to start.

Which natural deodorant is best for sensitive skin?

If you have sensitive skin or have previously experienced irritation from bi-carb deodorants, we recommend starting with our Bi-Carb Free Sensitive Formula.

Instead of bi-carb soda, the Sensitive Formula uses Magnesium Hydroxide and is available in Fragrance Free options.

As everyone's skin is different, discontinue use if irritation occurs.

My natural deodorant is irritating my underarms. What should I do?

If you experience irritation, itching or a rash, discontinue use and allow your skin to settle before applying deodorant again.

Some people find that bi-carb soda (baking soda), which is used in our regular deodorant formula, can irritate sensitive skin. If this is the case for you, our Bi-Carb Free Sensitive Formula may be a gentler option.

Everyone's skin is different, so if irritation persists or you're concerned about a skin reaction, we recommend speaking with a healthcare professional.

Does natural deodorant stop you from sweating?

No. Deodorant and antiperspirant work differently.

Antiperspirants are designed to temporarily reduce perspiration, while deodorant helps manage body odour without preventing your body from sweating naturally.

Our natural deodorants are designed to help absorb moisture and neutralise body odour rather than stop perspiration.

Natural Deodorant vs Antiperspirant: What's the Difference?

Is there a cross-over period when switching from antiperspirant to natural deodorant?

Everyone's experience is different. You may notice that using a natural deodorant feels different at first because it doesn't work by preventing perspiration in the way an antiperspirant does.

There's no need for a special "detox" process. Simply apply your natural deodorant to clean, dry underarms and give yourself a little time to become familiar with how it works for you.

What's the difference between the Deodorant Stick, Jar and Mini Travel Tin?

Our Stick, Jar and Mini Travel Tin offer different ways to apply and enjoy The Natural Deodorant.

The Stick comes in a recyclable cardboard push stick for quick and easy application.

The Jar contains a deodorant paste in a reusable glass jar and can be applied using the spatula provided or your finger.

The Mini Travel Tin is a convenient 30g deodorant paste that's easy to take with you when travelling, heading to the gym or keeping in your bag.

Choose whichever format best suits your routine.

How do I apply The Natural Deodorant?

For the Jar or Mini Travel Tin, apply a small, pearl-sized amount under each arm using your finger. The Jar also comes with a spatula that can be used to remove the deodorant before applying.

For the Stick, gently push the deodorant up from the base of the cardboard tube and apply directly to clean, dry underarms.

You only need a small amount. Using more deodorant doesn't necessarily mean better results.

Can I reapply my natural deodorant during the day?

Absolutely. If you've had a particularly hot, active or stressful day, you can reapply your deodorant when needed.

For best results, apply to clean, dry underarms where possible.

How long will a jar of Natural Deodorant last?

As a general guide, a jar can last around three to four months when using a small amount each day.

How long it lasts will vary depending on how much you apply and how often you reapply.

Why does my deodorant go soft or runny in warm weather?

Our deodorants contain natural oils and butters that can soften when exposed to warmer temperatures. This is a normal characteristic of the ingredients and doesn't mean there's anything wrong with your deodorant.

If your Jar deodorant becomes very soft, give it a stir and place it somewhere cool. In particularly hot weather, you can pop it in the fridge for a short time to firm it up again.

We recommend storing your Natural Deodorant in a cool place away from direct sunlight.

Why does my natural deodorant harden when it's cold?

The natural oils and butters in our deodorants can become firmer in cooler temperatures.

If your Jar deodorant becomes too firm, scrape out a small amount with the spatula and warm it between your fingers or in your palm before applying.

If your Stick becomes a little firm, briefly warming the end of the deodorant can help soften the surface before application.

Changes in consistency caused by temperature are normal and don't affect the quality of the deodorant.

Where is the best place to keep my Natural Deodorant?

Keep your deodorant in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.

Because our formulas contain natural oils and butters, their consistency can change with temperature. In very warm weather, your deodorant may become softer, while cooler temperatures can make it firmer.

I travel a lot. Can I keep my Natural Deodorant in my car?

We don't recommend leaving your deodorant in a hot car or in direct sunlight. Cars can become extremely warm, which may cause the natural oils and butters in your deodorant to soften or melt.

If you're travelling with your deodorant, keep it upright and somewhere cool and shaded where possible.

Our Mini Travel Tin is a handy 30g option for travel, handbags and gym bags.

Why can my Body Butter or Balm sometimes feel grainy?

Natural butters such as Shea Butter can change consistency when exposed to fluctuations in temperature. Occasionally this can result in a slightly grainy texture.

This is a natural characteristic of the butter and doesn't affect the quality or performance of the product.

Try warming a small amount between your palms before applying. The balm or butter should soften as it warms, making it easy to massage into the skin.

What's the difference between The Natural Balm and Foot Balm?

The Natural Balm is a versatile all-purpose balm for dry hands, cuticles, elbows, heels and other areas that need a little extra moisture. It is scented with essential oils of Orange, Lime and Bergamot.

The Natural Foot Balm has been created specifically for dry, cracked and tired feet, with a refreshing blend of Peppermint, Lime and Bergamot essential oils.

Both are rich, concentrated balms, so a little goes a long way.
